The starting point
Art, sport and creativity inside one youth programme — three worlds that rarely sit together online. Too polished and the energy disappears; too busy and the message does. The task was a site that sounds the way the programme feels, without the information suffering for it.
The approach
We treated the programme as an editorial brand rather than an information page. Typography carries the tone: large, assertive, with a magazine structure underneath. A fluid hero animation sets the energy before a single word is read, and an editorial collage shows the work the way the programme itself is — layered, in motion, not tidied up.
In detail
-
Type in the lead role
Oversized headlines carry each screen. Everything around them stays quiet, so there is exactly one loud voice at a time and the reader always knows where to look first.
-
A hero in motion
A continuously moving hero sets the tone before any copy is read — energy first, explanation second.
-
Editorial collage
Layered compositions instead of a neat photo grid, so the breadth of the programme reads in one glance rather than through a list of pages.
The outcome
The proof is in the client's own words. She describes the result as a culturally rich, dynamic site that truly reflects the mission — and one that came about with minimal guidance on her side. That last part counts: the time that normally disappears into review rounds went into the work itself.
They created a culturally rich, dynamic website for ARTletics and a professional, well-structured site for Stichting Facts that truly reflects our mission — all with minimal guidance and clear, pleasant communication. Highly recommended.
